About the author
A historian, researcher and distinguished practitioner of Japanese martial arts, Kacem ZOUGHARI is a world-renowned authority on the study of Kobujutsu. With a PhD in Japanese studies and specialising in the transmission of warrior knowledge, he has devoted his life to exploring the authentic sources of traditional schools and the subtle mechanisms of their preservation through the centuries.
He is currently director of the Berlin Samurai Museum Research Centre, a unique institution in Europe dedicated to the preservation, study and transmission of the heritage of Japanese warriors. At the head of this centre, he oversees the analysis and interpretation of an exceptional collection of armour, weapons and ancient documents, while conducting in-depth research on martial traditions and their influence on Japanese society. His work not only contributes to enriching the historical understanding of Kobujutsu, but also makes this knowledge accessible to enthusiasts and researchers around the world.
