Description
Ishizuka Tetsuji
He was born in Noda city, Chiba prefecture, on the 22nd of February 1948. He graduated from Kokushinkan University Faculty of Law in March 1970, and worked as a firefighter and eventually became chief of the fire department in Noda city.
On April 29th, 2016, he received the prestigious award “The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays” from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
In his youth hestudied Kendo, Karate, Judo and Shorinji Kenpo and Aikido. In 1966 he joined Hatsumi Masaaki’s dojo and has remained a student since then.
He inherited the title of Soke in Gyokko Ryu in 2019, and has received the rank of full transmission, Menyko Kaiden, in the following styles:
- Kukishin Ryu (June 1971)
- Togakure Ryu (January 1978)
- Shinden Fudo Ryu (August 1978)
- Gyokko Ryu (August 1978)
- Koto Ryu (August 1978)
- Takagi Yoshin Ryu (August 1978)
- Gikan Ryu (Augus 1978)
- Kumogakure Ryu (August 1978)
- Gyokushin Ryu (August 1978)
Nowadays, as a Bujinkan Daishihan, he keeps practicing with the students focusing on and explaining the important points of taijutsu as the foundation of every aspect of Ninjutsu.
